CREATED TO KNOW GOD (John 17:3, Hos. 4:6)

According to the Catechism of the Catholic Church, one of the main reasons why God made us is to know Him. To make means to cause something to exist; man was brought into existence by God and for God. The God who made you did not make you to be independent of Him. Just as the fish cannot survive outside of water and the tree cannot survive outside of the soil, you cannot survive outside of God.

Rom. 1:19, says “Since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. That means, God has made it simple for us to know Him. Hos. 4:6 says “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. If we say that we know Him yet live in darkness, we are lying both in words and in our actions. Knowing God is to believe in him whom he has sent, for God has given us eternal life through His Son Jesus Christ (John 17:3). God is calling us into a personal relationship with Him, it is in this relationship with Him that He reveals Himself to us and the purpose of our calling.

Brethren, it is time to pursue what matters the most; your relationship with your maker which is anchored on your knowledge of Him. Let’s spend quality time with Him in prayer and in His Word. May the Lord give you the wisdom to seek Him now.

MEDITATIONS:
**Do you know that the primary purpose of your creation is to know God?

**What efforts are you making daily to grow in your intimacy with
God?

**What do you value the most in this life

PRAYER POINTS:
**Oh God my Father, help me to deliberately pursue intimacy with you.

**My Lord, help me to grow in your knowledge daily.

**Dearest Jesus, help me to value my relationship with you above everything.

**Pray for other intentions as the Holy Spirit leads.
